Principal's Message

At Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Parish Primary School we strive to truly be a Place of God.  What do we mean by this?  In our Parish School, there are different facets to this Mission. Around 400 people walk through our gates each day from varying backgrounds, with different challenges, talents and capabilities.  We strive to be a place where all these people - students, parents, staff and visitors, might encounter God.  Our community is one of diversity - through culture, economy and ability.  We work hard to welcome everyone with respect and dignity so all feel included.  In modelling our behaviour on Jesus and His Blessed Mother, Mary, we try to bring hope through compassion and mercy, while supportively challenging everyone to be the very best they can be.  We strive for excellence in all we do. Our staff target learning to the needs of students based on student data and the belief that every child can learn content and skills, thus increasing understanding.  Teachers reflect on their own practice, based on statistics, and seek the latest and most accurate research to enhance learning experiences.  Parents are an integral part of this educational journey.

We celebrate our academic successes, our sporting successes, our artistic successes and those, who, by word and deed, strive to be lights for others to follow.  We take up the challenge of learning from errors, correcting behaviours and actions with support, and the expectation that every child can be a face of God and contribute successfully and with a sense of achievement to the community.
